Dr Jones will explain what went wrong with the existing reactor designs and why we need to change. The current energy mix will be considered briefly and the potential role of nuclear power. Then the concept of small (and not so small) modular reactors will be discussed and a consideration of the obstacles that need to be overcome to make them a reality.
