FORUM MEMBERS FAVORITE BISCUIT

Lisa Miles has suggested I should start this thread so this is it. So you have to state your preference and your technical reasoning.

For me it has to be a fig roll. My reasons are.

1. They are very tasty and nourishing.

2. They contain a high level of fruit so healthy eating as part of your 5 a day.

3. They have a very high structural integrity resilience post tea dipping.

4. They have a high level of crumb retention for munching over a key board.
  • Either ginger biscuits or shortbread for me.

Both are great with a nice strong cup of Assam that has a spot of milk - but so's tiffin (tea brack with cheese).

I'm not a fan of biscuits (or tiffin) with coffee, but I can do a slice of carrot cake or coffee cake with coffee.

Non fattening Legh, slimming in fact, when we dance to the music.

  • I like all biscuits I mean they  are biscuits what's not to like  my faveroute tho are custard creams and bourbons I'm also rather fond of Jaffa cakes too although I'm not sure if they are a biccy or a cake
  • Ginger Biscuits. Dunked in tea, never coffee or coke. Or not dunked at all. NECTAR!
  • Humm, difficult. I've a sweet tooth and so biscuit wise just about anything with a filling or covered in chocolate is more than acceptable! If I had to pick one I could eat a pack of, it would probably be a chocolate digestive.

  • All biscuits!!!!

But if I have to say one it would have to be chocolate digestive. They are so moreish I can easily  finish a packet on the basis I have started so I will finish.

Based on the non scientific observation of the rate that a packet of chocolate digestives will disappear when compared to other biscuits,  if left open on site I would suggest they are the workman's favourite.

Definitely a biscuit - according to the law. ?

McVities won at a VAT tribunal over that one.  They are cakes, not biscuits, so there's no VAT on them.  See https://www.gov.uk/hmrc-internal-manuals/vat-food/vfood6260
