Welcome and Introduce Yourself

Welcome to the Internet of Things (IoT) network discussion page on Engineering Communities!
This is a thread to introduce yourself to your fellow network members. We’d love to hear more about you so here are a few questions to start you off:

    Hai dear ones,

I am glad to introduce self as Paul Immanuel Manager Electrical Installation Testing Commissioning

  • Hi Everyone,

My name is Ghibson Hudson and I'm a recent MEng Mechatronic and Robotic Engineering graduate currently working within the Recycling and Waste Management Sector, where I've just completed my first month. I'm relatively new to industry and the IET and I'm looking forward to being involved in the community as well as its discussions, particularly to those in regards to my current area of work.
  • Thanks for introducing yourself Ghibson Hudson‍ and welcome to the community. If you have any questions about the IET, please let us know!

  • A new introduction for the 2019 year from an interested IoT engineering technologist.

My name is Chris Burden, I am a 63 year old time served technologist from a defence aircraft engine supplier with a huge back ground history that can see applications from the IoT especially in the world of holistic prognostics and on time condition monitoring.

I have presented to IET, BINDT, AIMECHE, RAF, BSSM and various other interested bodies (over the years) associated with Medium Frequency Energy Transfer (MFET an Acoustic Emission technology). The IoT attached to the 'buzz world' Big Data which is, in my view 0.0000000001% useful to my interest, demands focus and discussion from like minded soles.

This is a short brief as requested but hopefully contains 'juice' to dangle carrots to incite inquisitiveness.

    Regards Chris

Thank you for the add   I am not informed about this aspect ,/ area and would like to learn more- particulary how it is applicable (if at all) to CAD software technology
  • Good Day Andre

    Thank you for the reply.

Well actually,  the association of the MFET capability is very much linked to CAD from the point of view of identification of structural witness of elastic stress wave emissions. The structures pass the emissions, so CAD drawings of the component shapes, component assembly structures and the material science associated to frequencies transferred by connecting material types, provide new knowledge evidence of structural 'normal' to 'change' evolution as a system/product operates through its life.

This is a deep complex science but I have sufficient knowledge to make the connection and point at evidence to corroborate the association.

    Regards
