The future of TV - Let's make it personal

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to Kevin FosterIan Buxton‍ and George for the excellent webinar on The Future of TV yesterday evening. ?

I really enjoyed the event, especially the interactive polling!

Thank you for organising this and please pass my thanks onto the speakers as well. I thought their presentation format was brilliant and very engaging given the restrictions we have in place at the moment. ?

But full kudos to the team in BT who have been working away on this technology for many years. Well done, all of them!
  • I'd just like to add my thanks and congratulations to Ian, George, Kevin and the lecturers for an exceptional event.

There were a few minor niggles but this shouldn't take away from the achievement.

I'd like to add a point to the constructive comments received so far: at the end of the event it would be useful to have some sort of 'play out' thanking people for attending etc. Last night we briefly heard a conversation between the organisers!

Great event - thanks to all concerned.

  • Martin Russ:

I suggested this to one of the IET communities and was told that there were too many tutorials out there already...

It doesn't hurt to remind those of us not already clued up on Zoom conferencing.

@Alex, So should I do an infographic? You could put your local network branding on it...
  • Martin, I'll pass on the offer to our team, thanks.
  • Thanks all, it went really well. The event organisers, myself, and the speakers and a quick chat after the event and agreed that an opening slide or rolling presentation with audio would help reassure attendees that their audio was working correctly. Watch this space :)
