Electric car rapid charging costs soar, says RAC - BBC News

"Right now, VAT on electricity from a public charger is levied at a rate four-times that which applies to domestic electricity, which makes it far more expensive to charge on-the-go than it should be,"

    At some stage, gas will run out, but as that stage is reached, it may get very very expensive. The same goes for oil, which will be restricted to areas which really need it like aviation.

    It is human nature to want to buy things at the lowest price. So if the price of gas does not fall, renewables may well become the cheaper option sooner than expected.
