Electromagnetic Radiation Power contains a 3D volume of energy

Many  physicists cannot understand that AC 50/60 cycle per second power is in fact contains low frequency electromagnetic light.

On physics forums they quote Maxwell's laws but forget his corkscrew rule which shows the direction of spin of a magnetic inertia field.

The current induced magnetic flux is at right angles to current and an area of magnoflux spinning in x.y direction.

Faradays Left hand 3 finger rule indicates if the voltage force is at right angles in flux-current area then we produce power .

If the current in x direction and flux in y direction or voltage in z direction are not at right angles then a Cosine reduction in real power occurs.

This virtual or quantum power is measured in VAr.'s and can be either Capacitive or Inductive as the volume has been squeezed.

Does anyone know how to better describe this concept to physicists.

    The problem is that we must have x,y,z directions and not just x,y. as misinterpreted in the Heaviside equations as calculus will assume that a right angle to x, is y and a right angle to y is x.   But it may not in the case of energy volume it is z.

    Professors on line are still quoting Power energy is measured in Watts per square meter per second  in presentations about the  Poynting vector which is incorrect as power is a 3D volume of spinning magnoflux x.y with a DC voltage in z direction.

    Years ago we were taught that electrons carried current in conductors to form power but now after years of deliberation everyone accepts that it is the 3D magnoflux which moves at speed of light inside the metal core of an isolation transformer that carries the power..

    I suppose it will take another 20 years for physicists to catch up?

    The Poynting vector represents direction of flux, not static energy.... If nothing else this comes from the units, volts per meter crossed with  amps per meter == watts passing through each square metre - please note not  stored nor  dissipated. Keep thinking of that magic window frame with volts accross the bottom and amps up the side..

    No 'per second' about it, unless you call watts joules per second ?

    If you replaced that square metre with a sheet of 377 ohms per square with perfect cooling  it would absorb the incident power and from the generator side, look like the free space carried on forever much like fully terminated transmission line is indistinguishable from a semi-infinite length. (one where you only can only measure one end (proimal) and the distal one is "very far" away.)

    Oh, I doubt it... 20 years is only the quarter-life of a professor, and and perhaps only an octeth-life of a prescribed text book Stuck out tongue winking eye. Another century might start cracking it.

    The main point that Hately made in his lecture to IEE SW Scotland (back in the day) was that it was essential that not only E/H => impedance of free space, but also that Curl(E) / Curl (H) =>  impedance of free space, and that all the plane way approximations (as attempts at creating practical Poynting vectors) couldn't actually get the Curl ratios right when in near field (i.e. local to their antenna).

    Without curvature there is no direction of travel. Easy to forget.
