Has this 'forum' been adandoned?

?OK,is a result of being difficult to find? or being simply abandoned.

    I think it is time to change the old address to point to the new forum, because nothing has really changed. Not rocket science. Just copy all the existing posts across, and perhaps some history, but a months worth is surely enough?

    When searching for answers to difficult questions I often find the answer has been provided a few years ago and while bits of the regulations may have changed the underlying principals have not, at least not for the electrons I  work with ?. Keeping the old forum as an archive is for me the next best thing to having it all on here. 


    I note people are still using the old forum, trying to make he last post on there perhaps? Is there a prize for the last one?

    Well, while the other forum is still live it makes sense to pop by there, and right now folk are still finding their feet over here, for those not involved in the try-out it is only day 2 of the names and aliases working. Give it a week or two and more activity will move over.

    For me the biggest pain to droppin in to both is that the logging in and out is not synchronous, and it is easy to get left logged in on one or other.


    edit, and the short edit window and the way the spell checker works

    The short edit window? I am not sure what you mean. It defaults to about ten lines but it can be extended by dragging the arrow in the bottom right hand corner of the edit window.

    Or do you mean the fifteen minutes allowed to go back and edit? That has been talked about on a previous thread.
