    Been there done that. Self build supplied by a couple of 50 m extension cables.


    Lights worked and not obviously dim; batteries charged OK; vacuum cleaner sucked. It was just the bench-top band saw which didn't start. Well it did once the householder explained that you had to spin the wheel by hand to get it moving! ?


    I might add that no harm came to the cable whilst it was lying in the mud for a couple of years. ?
