Building regulations on vertical chase to the masonry for meter tail installation

Hi , I need to find out what is the legal requirement for vertical chases to the masonry wall for meter tail installation?

  • I am assuming that there isn’t a 30 mA RCD upfront, if there is they can probably just go behind the plaster board.

  • "Meter tail installation".

    Z.

  • I did say I am assuming there isn’t an upfront RCD.

  • No upfront rcd

  • No upfront rcd

Then if they're ordinary insulated & sheathed tails, they'd need to be protected by earthed steel conduit, or earthed steel trunking suitable for use as a protective conductor (so that option's out for TT systems) (steel capping isn't acceptable) - or have mechanical protection sufficient to stop nails, screws etc. (in these days of nail guns, that's pretty difficult to demonstrate).
