Three Phase Generator.

A local man is disconnecting from the grid due to rising costs. He has bought an AG-50 50kVA three phase diesel generator. The maker is Fuj[an Yihua Electrical Machinery Co. Ltd. The generator will be used for electric showers and a washing machine on a camping site. What advice can you provide for me so that all goes well with the installation. The certificate of conformity states 380 Volt, p.f. 0.8, 76 Amp. 50Hz.

Is foundation earthing a good idea whilst the concrete slab is being made?

    more of a beer man myself.  If you mean fuel oil it has suddenly got quite messy.

    It rather depends if the electricity is for personal use, farming or forestry (Red OK) or for any other business (white) but I expect the rules to be tighted slowly, and red to be phased out in the next few years altogether

    No doubt some clever person will get some Redex or get some red  dye into their fuel mix to justify their cheaper prices. Only joking.

    Back in the 70s near here, between counties, a road block was set up by Police and Customs to examine the colour of the stuff in folks fuel tanks. A lot of fuel cans were thrown into fields on the approaching road before the road block.

    Cant see any advantage in adding red dye to white diesel fuel.

    Removing the dye from red diesel and selling or using it in place of genuine white diesel is profitable and very illegal

    I was saying it in vein with the old joke of "how much are your eggs?", "£1 a dozen", "How much are your cracked eggs?" , " 50p a dozen", " Crack us a dozen then!"
