Article Internet of Things (IoT)

Overview

It is the role of the IET Internet of Things Technical Network to provide a place for professionals from all sectors to come together and discuss thoughts and ideas, learn concepts, and share useful content. Affiliation with Technical or Local Networks is welcome, as it is crucial for us to share a common goal of professional development with our members.

The real success will be in our ability to develop a sense of community and to provide value to you and others in the IET family through continuous discussion and collaboration. You are welcome to participate in the debate here on this topic, as well as reach out to any of the members of the committee. The thoughts and requirements you provide will help shape how the Technical Network will support the engineering community's development.

Finally, as we grow as a TN, we look to grow our committee. If you want to be a part of this, please get in touch.

In 2023 our current focus is on the following topics:

  • Broaden the IoT TN's  presence across the professional and academic community.
  • IoT TN Relaunch (Webinar 21 Nov 23) - IoT: A Network of Networks

Blogs

Here you will find a link to blogs of interest some by the committee, but hopefully many by the wider community. If you would like your blog to appear here, or have seen one that you feel would be valuable, please let us know.

Focused Questions

Here you will find answers to questions asked of the committee and the response offered. We will do our upmost to get the most relevant SMEs to answer the questions, and where content attracts attention, we may look to make a presentation/webinar from it.

Useful Material

As a community, we will constantly find articles/videos of interest. Where copyright allows, we will look to have a place to look here. Seen anything that would benefit our profession? Please let us know and we can share it here - and if you can provide a quick synopsis, even better.
