Set to enter service in January 2024, the first Icon Class ship will offer the travel industry’s “first-of-a-​kind combination of the best of every vacation”, according to Royal Caribbean International (RCI).

Icon of the Seas was recently floated out of dry dock by Finnish shipbuilding company Meyer Turku, ready for outfitting. When complete, it will be the largest cruise ship in the world by gross tonnage, according to RCI, with three Icon ships expected to be delivered in the third quarter of 2023 and in 2025.
