AI has been the technology leading the pack in 2024, with pretty much every major tech firm hoping that their chatbot will be the one to take the crown. While fears of imminent job losses may have been tamped down a little since the public launch of ChatGPT in late 2022, there is still much uncertainty about the impact it will have. Whether the technology is overhyped or the start of a major societal shift will become clearer over the next year.
