Tell everybody, who you are, what you do, who you would like to connect with and why you joined IET Professional Development, on the My Community platform - what are you hoping to get out of it?

This is a great way to learn more about others and extend your professional network.

  • I would agree with Bob that you could apply for EngTech now and then work toward IEng in the future.  It will give you a good idea of the areas of competence you will need to demonstrate and how you can get there.

The IET's online professional development system, Career Manager, will take you through the application process for EngTech in a systematic approach so it's helpful to ensure you have all the right information (though you should also be sure to read the guidance notes).

If you have any questions, then don't hesitate to contact me at: profdev@theiet.org or you can complete the application and contact a professional registration advisor (PRA) as the next step.

    Kind Regards,
