Tell everybody, who you are, what you do, who you would like to connect with and why you joined IET Professional Development, on the My Community platform - what are you hoping to get out of it?

This is a great way to learn more about others and extend your professional network.

Hi

     I am Kevin Field.

     A Development Engineers (Data Architect) at TFL surface transport.

     I acheived C.Eng quite a while ago!

     It did help me to get my current job.

     Based on my experience of gaining that status I had to invest a lot of personal time and money gaining the skills to acheive it.

     My experience since then has been similar, hence my interest in the CPD monitoring scheme.

     My question is. I have been keeping CPD records, in the career manager, for the last 2 years. I submitted a set of records last year at about this time for review in response to request since I opted into the scheme. I note that this year things seem to have gone a bit quite. But the submission process still indicates that records shoud be submitted by the 31st of October for review in January 2017.

    Do we have to opt into the scheme every year?

    Do we have to make a submission in October for January?
