guys I am sitting my 2396 exam in later on in 2023. I am getting ahead of the game trying to put in work with past papers etc ,would anyone be able to point me in the direction of study notes or any content which would be beneficial for 2396 studying.

Due to its prestige & therefore the control C&G have on the actual exam, very difficult to get anything else really for practice,

Look at the examiners reports , not sure if this is what you mean for the past papers example below
quoting the fact you have past papers is a no no, this is not allowed under C&G rules so that's why I'm assuming you mean examiners reports.
Obv's you can only use 7671 , OSG & GN3 in exam so ensure you fully understand the calcs , how to apply them and limitations of design practices as well as the key areas of the book as well as speed in searching in 7671. I used the e-version vital source app via electrical IET to get the book in my head better than pdf then you can practice on the book later which I assume is flag tagged for ease ?

Not sure if you are a recent college leaver or grad but if not this is going to be one of the hardest exams you will take. I have done lots in my time even degree exams and this is up there at the top, probably not level 7 but as challenging as anything below that.
Don't forget to make sure you get that project done, heard loads of stories of people not doing that and not getting the ticket as they say 40 hours but that's if your a seasoned designer for everyone else easily 70 hours if not more. I found using electronic means i,e, Visio or CAD for all drawings was quick and easier than paper and complete everything in word, bind as a pdf prior to printing in a nice single file. Also sharing projects is also a no no
Nice little touch is the digital badges from C&G put on LinkedIn or here as there aren't many quoted about so makes you stand out.
Also don't forget to push for tech grade on ECS when you can, should align with EngTech Elec so you get TMIET if you haven't already.

Lee I am under no illusion the difficulty withthis exam. Its not going to be easy thats for sure hence the reason I am trying to get some info ....especially with the calculations. I am not a uni graduate just extremely motivated to further my electrical knowledge and qualifications. This would most definitely be the biggest string to my bow.
I have already gone through the engtech application a few years back.
As said before thank you I will definitely explore all the information you have provided.

Sorry James, I got my 2391 mixed up with your 2396 hence my nonsensical reply! I stopped at Inspection and Testing which I found very hard so never dared go to the dizzy heights of Design, Erection and Verification. Best wishes for achieving this high level qualification!
