  • Where are you in the world, or perhaps, where are you expecting to work, if that is somewhere else? Different countries have different methods of qualification - the UK for example does not have a rank of "certified electrician" as such, & electrician is not a protected title, but there are qualification that one is expected to have to be able to get a job at a certain level, and various types of card that one may need to have to work on some sites.

The US and Australia have very different processes with licencing schemes that allow one to practice, and I am sure that other places have processes that are even more varied, but I don't know them.

If you can tell us a bit more about where and what, it  may be possible advise better, or perhaps to say sorry but we don't really know - ij which case a local source of advice may be better  !
Generally this is a UK centric forum but there are a number of folk with connections to other countries.
