Apprenticeships

Hi

I’m a 16 year old from Liverpool and i’m really keen to explore the various engineering apprenticeships available in the city but finding it difficult to find the right information.

Im keen on civil and electrical but very open to exploring all types of engineering at this stage

Can any anyone please  provide advice in regards to the best places to look?

I leave school in the summer and would like to progress straight into an apprenticeship if possible

I’d be very interested in work placements and mentoring too if anyone can help

Thanks very much  for your help

  • Hi,

There is this website: Find an apprenticeship - GOV.UK

However, it only shows currently open apprenticeships and not those that might be planned to be advertised in the future. So you have to periodically recheck it for updates.

One way around this is to look at the websites of local companies that might offer apprenticeships. As you can imagine, this is a lot of work and its a challenge to pick up all the small companies.

There are apprenticeships offered by the forces which are UK wide. But those can mean you need to move to a different location.

Also bear in mind that there are some apprenticeships that need a Level 3 qualification (A-levels, BTECs, T-levels, etc) to apply for.
