IET Fellowship application non-official requirements

Hello everyone,

I'm seeking advice and clarification regarding the IET Fellowship application screening process.
I prepared my application using the published guidance on the IET website. During screening, I was asked to make changes based on additional requirements that I could not find in the published guidance, which has led to several resubmissions.

Here are some examples:
- The guidance states: "Where appropriate include URL links for significant additional evidence." In my application, I included a small number of URLs (for example, a YouTube channel and mass media articles). My application was returned with the note "we no longer accept any links".
- The other time my application was returned with a reason: "We cannot accept your supporter as they are your colleague. Your supporter needs to be senior level than you are, like your manager ". Neither my supporter nor I could find this in the published guidance.

My concern is not that screening has standards, but that the applicable rules seem to differ from what is publicly documented, and I'm receiving new constraints iteratively rather than a single checklist. I'd like to comply efficiently and avoid unnecessary back-and-forth.

Questions for anyone who has applied recently:
1) Is this how the process works for all applicants?
2) What's the best way to speed up this back-and-forth screening process?

Thank you for any guidance you can share.
