Hello Everyone,
I have been looking into starting up a Journal Club at my company. I was thinking it could follow similar lines as the medical profession. For those that don't know about them, it is a regularly occurring meeting where a group critically reviews a paper. The aim is to build up scientific literacy, confidence and understanding in the field. It has the benefit of keeping everyone who attends informed about new and interesting applications of technology, techniques or communication and can highlight areas for continuous improvement.
Does anyone have experience with getting something like this up and running, specifically for engineering? Is someone able to share any critical appraisal checklists to use whilst reviewing papers? Like I mentioned, these are regular (and in some cases mandatory) in the NHS, but some of their resources are a little specific to medicine.
Setting something like this up is a first for me, so any resources would be really helpful!
