For members who recently completed the CEng PRI, how long did it take to receive your outcome after the interview? I understand timelines vary and that the IET advises around 6–10 weeks, but I'm interested in hearing recent experiences.

Most applicants I work with (I'm a PRA) have been hearing in one to two weeks, but I know this is very dependent on there being no internal discussion / arbitration required. It can take longer which is why these times are quoted, this is in the applicants favour: a "pass" is fed back at once, if some assessors are not happy for a pass then the decision is discussed rather than it being an automatic fail. So if you don't hear for a while it means assessors are working for you to try to find reasons for you to pass!
Thank you, Andy. That's very helpful. My PRI was on 24 June, so I'm currently in my third week. Hopefully I'll hear something over the coming weeks. I appreciate you taking the time to explain how the process works.

We're about to take you to the IET registration website. Don't worry though, you'll be sent straight back to the community after completing the registration.
