Position available on new Nuclear Science & Engineering Education committee

We are seeking expressions of interest from an IET member to act as our representative on a new Special Committee being formed to promote the re-establishment of serious nuclear science and engineering education and research in Australia.

The objective of the new committee will be to ensure that Australia has the capacity and technical capability to keep abreast of global developments in the safe and economic extraction, use and export of nuclear resources for various approved purposes, so that governments and industry have available to them expertise in these areas in the future.

If you would be interested in participating in the Special Committee, further background information and the Terms of Reference are available upon request.

  • George,

This position was advertised to us about nine months ago and has likely already been filled.

It is also probably best suited to someone with a background in nuclear science.

If you work in the IT domain, your assistance might be put to better use in establishing an IT presence in Victoria with the IET - it is under-represented at the moment.

As I mentioned in another thread, the best thing to do would be to come along to our networking event on April 22 to discuss options with our committee in person - registrations are now open for the event!
