3D Printing

Came across this news story today about a baby's life that was saved with a groundbreaking

3-D printed device that restored his breathing. Fascinating stuff.  You can read about it here





I'd love to hear your thoughts on this technology.



The Manufacturing TPN are organising a conference in Febuary 2014 at which Additive

Manufacturing (3D printing) will be discussed.  Check back for further details nearer the time.

    For those that haven't seen 3D printing or do not understand the concept it is truly amazing. I was privalleged to recently visit the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry and the capability of this technology is the stuff of Star-Trek, in fact I caught a glimpse of Jean-Luc Picard whilst I was there... why don't you take a look at what they are doing today and tomorrow http://www.the-mtc.org/
