3D Printing

Came across this news story today about a baby's life that was saved with a groundbreaking

3-D printed device that restored his breathing. Fascinating stuff.  You can read about it here

I'd love to hear your thoughts on this technology.

The Manufacturing TPN are organising a conference in Febuary 2014 at which Additive

Manufacturing (3D printing) will be discussed.  Check back for further details nearer the time.

  • For those that haven't seen 3D printing or do not understand the concept it is truly amazing. I was privalleged to recently visit the Manufacturing Technology Centre in Coventry and the capability of this technology is the stuff of Star-Trek, in fact I caught a glimpse of Jean-Luc Picard whilst I was there... why don't you take a look at what they are doing today and tomorrow http://www.the-mtc.org/
