  • Hello and welcome to the community Andrew Ng.

Technically I am now one of the newest members myself, since I unintentionally managed to unsubscribe earlier today (having originally joined in 2012) and have now re-joined! So here I will take the chance to (re)introduce myself. One of my IET volunteering roles is to
chair this network's executive committee. We organise a number of control and automation events each year, including workshops and technical talks. At the moment these are mainly held in the UK but are also sometimes organised with the Local Networks in other parts of the world. Everyone is  very welcome to help us out by proposing event ideas and possible speakers. We have a thread What should the C&A network be doing? that (very) occasionally wakes up.

In my day job, I am a professor of control engineering at Lancaster University in the UK, with research interests in robotics and autonomous systems, and control in health and medicine, among other areas.

    Best wishes, James Taylor
