    hi,
i think electronics and communication is more lucrative.
whats more unemployment is low in this area because
of the ever increasing demand for communication solutions.
    the future is bright!

the most lucrative amongs them is computer and control. when u look at computer, their are many fragments in it. infact, it has the largest braches of all existing work force. and new things crep up every day. if i were u i will concentrate on it. be rest assured that it can never fold or go on religation. and currently in the world market, it has the lowest % of unemplyment.

  • Okanta et al,

It is very difficult to pick one above any of the others because of the diversity within each discipline. It also depends what you mean by lucrative? Lots of money but high risk or a sustained good income?

An establish discipline like power may not seem sexy but may give the best rewards if looking for a long term stable employment. Computers on the other hand may give good short term returns but attached is a high risk.

    Probably not helped have I?

    Stuart.

Of the three, if i may add, electronics and telecom is the most lucrative 'cos i feel there will ever be an inexhaustive demand for communication as this is the catalyst for globalisation itself;making the world a global village.Having said hat it is also important to note that the computer industry is also on it's 'all time high'

  • But, is the all time high for computers here to stay? Or will it suffer as the telecoms industry is suffering today?

I guess power is already a dawning subject in the university. I am studying in electrical energy system engineering in the university, and this year our course even cant get enough freshmen. Also, the demand for fresh graduates from the power industry is not high. That's why I wont suggest u to choose power as ur major, unless u are very interested in it. (And of course I myself is very interested in that subject .)
