I am organising an Evening Lecture on the 11th Feb. 2003 on Innovations in Microprocessing, one of the speakers is Matthew Woolf who helped to create the Pogo PDA. His presentation will highlight the ups and downs of running a small business in the UK. Other speakers include Robin Saxby, Executive Chairman of ARM and Lord Sainsbury, Under-Secretary of State for Science and Innovation.
This event is free for IEE members and will be held at Savoy Place. Further information is at: www.iee.org/.../a11feb03.cfm
I would also recommend becoming actively involved with the Management and Consultants Professional Networks.
I also am in the process of registering on the consultants forum, perhaps as a sole trader - Brinklow Associates - it would appear that to set up a separate bank account for this is very expensive.
I tried registering but my name does not appear in the consulatnsts list and I do not know how to access the chat line which I have been trying to do for some time. It is most probably my own finger trouble or lack of user guideline info.
Any specific instructions on using the web site to register and have my name listed and on how to access the chat line would be much appreciated.
If you are interested in attending the dinner following the SoC Launch Event I would book early to avoid disappointment as I have already allocated 50% of the spaces. This will be full pretty quick as we have just sent out the main Direct Mail publicity! In terms of networking this will be an excellent opportunity. A lot of senior figures in the industry will be attending.
