ARE CENG AND IENG EQUAL IN STATUS

Can we say that the CEng and IEng be considered equal titles in professional status or IEng is inferior than CEng.

As the Application Form for both CEng and IEng is same.

    It was my understanding, that a 3 year college degree in Technology in the USA is equivalent to the 3 year Technology Diploma in Canada and was classified as an Associate Degree and are recognised by the Sydney Accord.   Correct me if i'm wrong.
