Development Planning in the IET Career Manager is broken

I wonder if anyone else has ever tried to use the Development Planning section of the IET Career Manager, as it seems hopelessly broken at the moment.

I can select "Development Planning" under "My Development".  It presents 3 options down the left-hand side.  If I select "Development Overview" it lists three types of development: "UK-SPEC Objectives", "Job Role Objectives" and "CPD Planning - Set Objectives & Actions".

I can then select "Development Planning" on the left-hand side.  It now offers me two (not three) types of development: "UK-SPEC" or "CPD Objectives".  There is no option for "Job Role Objectives", so there's no way to create them.

Actually, there's no way to create "UK-SPEC" objectives either.  If I select "UK-SPEC" objective, it gives me the instructions on how to create an objective without actually having the option to do so anywhere on the screen - I'm supposed to click on a "set objective" link, but that just brings up the same instructions again.  If I select "CPD Objectives" instead, it takes away the instructions, and gives the option to create a CPD Objectives folder.

So in the end, of the three types of objectives listed, the only ones I can actually create are the CPD ones.

Edit: I've tried it on Internet Explorer 11 and Firefox, on more than one Windows 7 machine.

    Hi

We are sorry to hear that Career Manager did not meet your expectations. With around10,000 regular users we understand that not every member will find Career Manager functionality aligns to their preferred way of working, as we recognise that everyone works in different ways.  We have not had this request before, and as we operate a continuous improvement approach to Career Manager we will log your feedback on our ongoing roadmap for future development, and will hopefully be in a position to enhance the reporting capabilities in the future.  We are constantly improving the functionality offered in Career Manager, and hope that you can appreciate the growing challenges faced by developing a product which meets the needs of such a diverse audience of users.
