Training scheme accreditation number

Is there anyone within the IET who can look up accreditation numbers for former IEE-accredited graduate training schemes?

I was on such a scheme (1994-8) and would like to include the number on my CEng application form, section G.

I am certain that the scheme was accredited because I was directly involved with the inspection and reaccreditation process.

If the number cannot be obtained, is there a standard form of words that can be used that will satisfy the assessors?

  • Name the scheme and it will be taken into account.

A check is made as part of registration assessment to verify that someone is on the list of current participant names provided by the employer and has been supported by someone from that employer. It seems unlikely that you will meet this check, but your supporter’s signature confirms that as far as they are aware you are presenting a true and fair representation of yourself.  Therefore, we would allow the benefit of any doubt and believe you. However, IET assessors can only give limited value to having completed a “graduate training scheme” so long ago. Examples of more recent achievement aligned to UK-SPEC  are much more valuable.
