Help with some LED solar lights

Hello all

A bit cheeky I know but since the best people to ask this question are right here, I'm sure you'll forgive me wink

I've re-wired my solar powered LED string lights as I had a bit of an accident involving a garden strimmer... blush

I had to remove one of the bulbs and re connect the wires. However, they're now behaving rather oddly and are now 'on' when the panel is getting light and 'off' when it is dark, when obviously it should be the other way around? frown

Any ideas of, a. What I've done wrong and, b. How to fix it so they work properly again?

  • Thanks for your reply Maurice.

Perhaps the battery needs replacing as the charge from the panel seems to be powering the lights directly and not charging the battery for later use? Or maybe the light sensor now has a fault so it doesn't switch to the battery power storage when it's dark?

I wondered if it was something simple i.e I'd crossed the wires over when re-wiring but surely they wouldn't work at all then?

It was a very powerful petrol strimmer... blush
