Help with some LED solar lights

Hello all

A bit cheeky I know but since the best people to ask this question are right here, I'm sure you'll forgive me wink

I've re-wired my solar powered LED string lights as I had a bit of an accident involving a garden strimmer... blush

I had to remove one of the bulbs and re connect the wires. However, they're now behaving rather oddly and are now 'on' when the panel is getting light and 'off' when it is dark, when obviously it should be the other way around? frown

Any ideas of, a. What I've done wrong and, b. How to fix it so they work properly again?

  • The "light sensor" is normally just the solar panel.  When it stops generating, it's time to turn the lights on.

It might be worth reversing the connections where you've re-joined the cable to see if it fixes the problem.  Also check that the battery is still inserted properly.
