The Finishing Line

I can remember seeing The Finishing Line on TV in the 70's prior to going to see Herbie with my school friend on his birthday. Thought the documentary was real and it ruined Herbie as I could not get the images out of my mind. However, it did it's job as I have never played on train tracks or go close to the edge at stations. Was gory in the 70's at tea time!

Went on a train on Saturday .... thought about this documentary.

Still puts a shiver up my back.

  • The public information films that I watched certainly made me fearful of everything from sparklers and matches to playing on the railway and or near open water - I'm surprised we even left the house after watching this!

Of course the railways feel safer now, but that may be because I know some really good engineers that work on them who are IET members wink
