It's getting hot in here!

Did you know that on this day in 1902 drawings for the worlds first air-conditioning system were created and submitted by Willis Carrier?

I would personally like to thank Mr Carrier for making the IET's office in Stevenage a pleasant environment to work in during this extended heatwave the UK is currently experiencing!

    When I had a convertible, I found the worst time to put the top down was a hot sunny day.  I just got baked by the sun.


    A pleasant summer evening was another matter.  Or even a clear day in winter.  It seems a bit silly putting the roof down and the heater on, but it works!
