Best books for relearning mathematics

Evening folks,

I am planning on undertaking the Building Services Engineering HNC starting this September with a view to going onto the degree.

Which books would anyone recommend for brushing up on my maths skills, in readiness for my studies.

Thanks for any advice.

    Hello Paul,

When I did my HND we used 'John Bird: Engineering Mathematics'.  It picks up from GCSE level and has lots of good examples.  John Bird also has other textbooks for electrical principles which are good.

If his style doesn't work for you, another HNC level book is 'K.A. Stroud:  Engineering Mathematics'.

You can find both easily, 2nd hand editions should be pretty cheap.

    Good luck, enjoy!
