Best books for relearning mathematics

Evening folks,

I am planning on undertaking the Building Services Engineering HNC starting this September with a view to going onto the degree.

Which books would anyone recommend for brushing up on my maths skills, in readiness for my studies.

Thanks for any advice.

    If you are looking for a gentle reintroduction to mathematics, presented in an applied and practical way, see if you can get a copy of the book that accompanies the (now sadly discontinued) Open University Short Course S151 - Maths for Science.


    You can normally pick up a second-hand copy quite inexpensively online or in charity bookshops.
