Best books for relearning mathematics

Evening folks,

I am planning on undertaking the Building Services Engineering HNC starting this September with a view to going onto the degree.

Which books would anyone recommend for brushing up on my maths skills, in readiness for my studies.

Thanks for any advice.

  • If you are looking for a gentle reintroduction to mathematics, presented in an applied and practical way, see if you can get a copy of the book that accompanies the (now sadly discontinued) Open University Short Course S151 - Maths for Science.

You can normally pick up a second-hand copy quite inexpensively online or in charity bookshops.

If there are any specific mathematical topics you need help with, please feel free to contact me and I will see if I can assist you!
