Hello All,
A drive manufacturer has specified that a 450A 1kV fuse should be used on the DC bus supplying its drives. I've only located one fuse that meets this spec, the Siemens 3NE3233 (RS 395-822). This is a size NH2 fuse, and NH2 fuseholders don't seem to go above a 400A rating e.g. the Bussmann TD2-D (RS 765-2960).
It would concern me to put a 450A fuse in a 400A-rated holder, however the current in normal operation will be about 300A and in a fuse-blow situation, well above 450A. Would I be justified in using this part, or can anyone point me to alternative holders (or fuses)?
Thanks,
John.
