PRI competency focus

I've got my CEng PRI later this month. The email I got said 

During the interview you should be prepared to explain the technical content of your work as the Interviewers have been asked to particularly explore competences C, though please note that this will not be at the exclusion of the other competences which will also be covered.




Am I right in thinking that it's normally A and B competencies that are focussed on in the PRI, so this is that they have been asked to focus on C competencies based on my application?


The text seems a little inconsistent as "technical content" isn't so much a C thing, is this just a failure of the template?


Given the above, should I try and build my presentation around the parts of my application that I think show C competencies?


P.S. I wasn't expecting to be in lockdown with an 11-month old baby while preparing for PRI - I need all the help I can get focussing on the right thing!

    The wording is never that good. The process that has taken place by the Pre PRI Panel has decided that your application lacks details of the C competences and so they are entitled to request the Interview panel to ensure that these competences are covered. In their report they are required to identify what they discovered.


    The Interview is supposed to cover all 17 competences and they will score each competence: - Little, Some, Full and Exceptional. There is an algorithm that at the end of the report writing gives the score: Fail, Borderline, Accept. They then give their overall conclusion.


    This then passes to the Post PRI Panel who's job it is to ensure that every thing is in order, where a Fail or Borderline is the result they will often ask for further comments from the Interview Panel before the final result is confirmed.


    All competences are scored and you need to have not too many"Somes" in the score lines. A and B are important but then then so are the rest.
