Coronavirus.

We have been advised not to go to pubs and restaurants, cinemas and other public places, to protect ourselves and others from the Coronavirus. Are we still able to work? Can we still obtain stock? Will we continue to visit workplaces like offices, shops or homes? Will we be provided  with fiscal support if we can not trade, especially if we are self employed?

University College London is predicting up to 250,000 potential fatalities from Coronavirus in the U.K.

How does the pandemic affect you?

Whaddaufink?

  • Legh Richardson:

I've just watched a program on the TV from 2004 about the black death from the C14th.

Similarly I have been reading a new biography of the Black Prince (eldest son of Edward III and father of Richard II) which includes the period of the Black Death. It was noticeable that the English Government didn't take precautions prior to the plague arrival in Portsmouth and then underestimated both the spread and the impact so were always reacting to events rather than planning and anticipating, with the result that nothing was actually done to stop the spread of the disease until it was too late. Sound familiar?
