Earthshot Prize for Digital Inclusion

It is very inspiring for the global community to have the Earthshot Prize initiated by the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge. Indeed, and very often, digitalization of the several economies, including that of the developing and poorer economies, have led to secluding some of the most needy and economically challenged persons of the community. In a haste to gain financial advantage, digitalization has often provided an unfair opportunity to the developing societies, where cutting short, endangering or even ignoring social benefits and safety, is often seen as the way out of poverty.

That a path does exist, where economic development and social riches maybe achieved, without endangering or sacrificing safety of oneself and of one's society, would certainly be encouraged by this Award. Hopefully, by granting this award annually, a more digitally inclusive global and safe society would be achieved.

In light of the significant 'Push' against Natural Resources - that indeed keeps the lights lit and the trains running - previously by UK participation in the EU and its associated financial displacements of Mining Towns all over the Commonwealth countries, I hope that the first Earthshot Prize, is indeed awarded to encourage the regeneration of Natural Resource Mining in the UK and the greater Commonwealth. Possibly, the award could be given to an achievement that encouraged better and further mining of Natural Resources, by applying healthy and safe practices. Projects that protect water quality in mining towns and similar efforts, would be a great encouragement for all such societies.

Such an award would certainly be highly regarded by the youth and innovation from such economies.
