I mentioned in the history thread that my analogue meter of choice was failing after around 40 years. I decided to buy the new model which arrived yesterday. The differences are quite interesting. The basic specifications are almost identical, the new one has fuses, a surface mount PCB and a different current transformer. The different scales for AC and DC remain. There is a bit more warning stuff on the front and a CE mark. The handbook no longer contains a circuit diagramme.
Wonderful well made instruments. Good friends to the user. No circuit diagram implies that we either are incapable of home repairs, or are not advised to tamper due to safety reasons or maker's liability.
