Comprehensive Defence Requirements against Cyberterrorism

Huawei is only a single company from China, quite possibly heavily influenced by funding and activities for China's National and Economic Security. Even fully banning Huawei, as a single company, will not serve any purpose to defend against Cyberthreats and real Economic threats to US and other countries that is posed by potential activities of China's Electronic Intelligence agencies who subvertly may use such companies. To appropriately and adequately defend against China's deliberations, sanctions have to be imposed against all Chinese electronic equipment, that maybe embedded with such Spy Capabilities in their installations - as is the case with Huawei equipment.

So, it is interesting that US Policy charges Huawei with trading with Terror Organizations, but stops short of declaring any Electronic Surveillance and Cyberwarfare, as a Terrorist Act in itself. To be considered fully, such sanctions should be applied to all Electronic Devices from any China or related countries that develop of fund from China - especially attractive by cheaper prices, wide availability etc.

  • The next big thing in the mobile phone market is 5G.  It's potentially fast enough to dispense with land-lines entirely.  Huawei are well advanced in their 5G technologies, and the big US companies are trailing behind them.

The USA is banning products from Huawei, but not from other Chinese suppliers of electronic products.  Is this just a coincidence?
