What would you like to see from the C&A network in 2021?

Dear Community,

The volunteers from the IET's technical networks have produced excellent events on behalf of the various communities over the years. Since COVID, the events have moved to the virtual platform which has greatly increased the accessibility to such events.

As Chair of the C&A technical committee, I would be interested to hear suggestions and ideas from members of the community for future virtual events.

Please feel free to message me with your suggestions and ideas for 2021.

Hi Jon

Thank you for posting the question. I would like to know the highest developments within automation technologies and their practice. Since there must be industries where automation is at the next level to what we see in manufacturing. The research institutes will also be interesting to gain an insight to.

Hi Jon, I would like to see more topics on controls of traction motor. What trends are in the industry and how controls is influenced by motor control design. How electromagnetic/motor designers can work with controls system engineer to create efficient and reliable motor for traction application. Thanks
