Electrical Supply and Population.

Info. from the Administrative County of London and District Electric Power Company give horse power connected to the supply mains per 1,000 head of population, for power and light and just power only.


Can you provide those two figures for both a, London?

                                                                     b, London Industrial Area.


The year is 1909/1910.

    And there is "indicated horsepower" as well which does not correspond to either of the above.

    And "nominal horsepower" for steam road vehicles, this is calculated from boiler pressure and cylinder size and bears little relationship to actual horsepower.


    There is something to be said for kilowatts !
