Then you take that charger out,

Replace it with another then sing and shout,

Oddly the Gas works in Hull was actually on Clough Road - my grandfather used to work there.
It is more of an industrial estate, I don't think there is any housing even today. It joins Cottingham road which is built up at one end, and at the other end goes to Stoneferry
If you wanted a real slightly grim sounding name to conjure with you could try one of the side roads from Hessle road, West Dock Avenue for example. (years ago my mom worked in the bank in Hessle road and has some interesting stories of the folk who worked on the fish docks.)
