He is only scratching the surface of cost. The electricity supply system will need at least £3 trillion at today's prices. Electrolysis is not very energy efficient, it would be better to just use the electricity directly, but then one would need vast “storage”. Why waste energy like this, the whole idea has more holes than a fishing net!
