Re : Standard for general rules for low voltage switchgear assemblies and requirements for LV Panel with PLC / DCS

Hi there,

I am normally read about IEC 61439 and IEC 60947 in LV panel/cabinet/switchgear design and assembly. My confusion is do we apply another standard as well for the cabinet that assembled with PLC/DCS in the cabinet? This automation panel is used for building control systems for heating and cooling systems. Need some knowledge and experience from experts. Thanks in advance.

Cheers

  • Hi Paul,

Thanks for enlightening me on the standard. These standards will be my design guidance in heat and cooling system machines. I have a lot of difficulties during my engineering due to conflicts suggestion in safety and control which I not acceptable I need to rectify immediately. Appreciate your tacit knowledge.
