I live just up from the River Severn, when the Party Boats used to run they dropped anchor below our house because they weren't allowed to go back into town with the disco in action, we used to actually get the disco lights shining on our bedroom ceiling.

On several occasions we had the fire brigade searching the river from the bank and from a RIB whilst the Police helicopter was overhead lighting the area, because someone had got drunk and jumped overboard in the early hours of Sunday morning.

So I would probably start with a ring of floodlights around the perimeter of the boat to use to look for people in the water.

You could also put some bright flood lights over the bar and other strategic points to dazzle people if a fight starts, so they cannot see the people they are trying to hit.
