Was it the electrical training college he went to?
err no.,..
actually I have precious little evidence of any electrically specific education at all. (unless you for a PhD from the University of London, in electrical and electronic engineering, but that was research, not taught. Lasting memories of Scouts addressing me with ‘What’s up Doc ?' when I achieved that have put me off announcing that unless it is really relevant. I prefer to be ‘Mike’)

Oddly I live within about 10 Miles of where Conan Doyle is buried. Last time I went there someone had left a pipe on the gravestone.
Mike.
