  • Hi,

I am Jenna and have recently become a member if the IET.

I started my apprenticeship in 2000 at Fiddlers Ferry Power Station and became a qualified Control and Instrumentation Craftsman in 2004. I moved to Drax Power Station after my apprenticeship and became a Technician in 2009 after 4 years on the tools and completed a part time degree in Electrical/Electronics Engineering.

I am currently still a technician and working towards my application for IEng. I have a 2 year old daughter and am about to go on maternity leave with my 2nd baby.

I work a 3 day week which can prove difficult managing a career with a young family, but is so worth the hard work.
