My name is Jan. I am from the University of Liverpool. I have just completed my PhD in Engineering (Materials Science). I will be pursuing a career in teaching as part of the Researchers in School programme. Being a STEM and LivWISE ambassador, I have set myself a goal to encourage young women to pursue a career in science and engineering. My role as a teacher will provide me with the platform I need, having the greatest impact in the lives of my future students. I hope that through this vast network I will be able to find comrades who share the same ambitions as me. :-)
